You don’t need to rally a group of your friends to maintain excitement for take after take. These are stripped down to only what you need and the selected environment (a back alley, an abandoned building, a warehouse, etc).

Meanwhile, i buzz about exploring the energy without intruding, capturing each performance in one continuous take and staying keenly present while i carry the cinematic perspective through each frame. every single one counts.

These films are often done in one single take and rarely need more than three. No stopping without starting over. no punch-ins. I record the genuine friction of raw expression. sometimes others film too (as you’ll see below) but i’m a sucker for riding the edge of having no other shot to fall back on during editing, so other cameras are brought in on a “by request” basis. yay!
